A workshop entitled “Tai Chi Alchemy” will be taught by Rick Barrett from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21 and Saturday, Jan. 23, at Solyoga in Mongoose Junction, Rick Barrett, author of “Taijiquan: Through the Western Gate,” presents a radical vision of the effect of consciousness on human ability. Using the ancient Chinese martial art of taijiquan (t’ai chi ch’uan), he demonstrates how each one of us can quickly and easily move to higher states of energetic coherence in body and mind. These states of heightened coherence have been utilized throughout the world to access spiritual insight, better health, and almost superhuman martial and athletic prowess. In this workshop, he takes us even further beyond the Western Gate: Love or Fear: Toward a Love-Based Martial Art.

A "Channeled Healing" workshop will be taught by Louise Olivi, M.S., from 7:30-8:30 p.m. on Monday Jan. 11, at Solyoga in Mongoose Junction. Patricia and Andrew will have a yoga class before this session from 5-7 p.m., so people may want to bring food for themselves to have in between classes. Enjoy the compassion and humor of Maasaw, Hopi Great Spirit and bringer of the Hopi prophecies. Maasaw will offer a message for the group and a healing meditation. Maasaw will also answer questions from participants of a personal, global or cosmic nature.

Olivi is an intuitive/spiritual counselor, a past life regression hypnotherapist and an energy healer. She has facilitated metaphysical workshops for the past 21 years throughout the U.S., the U.S. Virgin Islands, England, Egypt and Turkey. She channels the Hopi deity, Maasaw, who gave the Hopi their prophecies. Together, they serve many in remembering the power of their true nature as spiritual beings. She is a crop circle researcher and leads tours each summer to crop formations and sacred sites in southern England, as well as the ancient temples of Egypt and the sacred sites in Arizona, which include Sedona and Hopiland.
