St. John Film Society Presents “Sarayaku: Rivers of Corn”

St. John Film Society will present another free film, “Sarayaku: Rivers of Corn,” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18, at Market Place, Cruz Bay. Visiting filmmaker Marta Bautis will be there to introduce her film about the inspiring Kichua women of Ecuadorian Amazonia and their struggle to defend their ancestral lands from an international oil company.

There will be a special prix fixe dinner with the filmmaker at 5:30 p.m. at La Plancha del Mar which will be serving a three course meal, including appetizer, dessert and wine tasting.
