VIEDA Launches Radio Show to Focus on Economic Development Programs

The V.I. Economic Development Authority (VIEDA) has launched a new local radio show, “VIEDA: Focus on the VI Marketplace.” This one-hour program will be aired each week from noon to 1 p.m. on Friday from on WVWI AM 1000 Radio One on St. Thomas. This week’s guest will be Frederick Handleman, special assistant to the VIEDA’s CEO Percival E. Clouden, who will talk about the VIEDA’s EB-5 Program.
“With this radio program, the VIEDA has the opportunity to reach thousands of local residents and listeners from abroad by providing information on the authority’s various initiatives for economic development in the territory. The general public will have an opportunity each week to not only listen but to call into the show with questions, comments or suggestions,” said CEO Percival E. Clouden.
The show is produced and hosted by Merle Fenton-Cameron, special assistant to the VIEDA’s assistant chief executive officer/chief operating officer to promote VIEDA’s programs and services, and to inform listeners, both locally and abroad, about the authority’s current initiatives to help boost the economy and create jobs. This show also aims to showcase some of the VIEDA’s clients and reflect how true public and private partnerships can help create new business opportunities and grow existing local businesses while informing local residents about the importance of its programs in the territory.
For more information on the VIEDA’s radio program, contact Merle Fenton-Cameron at 714-1700, ext. 241. Listeners can also tune in to WVWI Radio One AM 1000 via the Internet at www.radiovi.com.
