Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Alsha K. Huggins/St. Croix
June 1, 2014 (Joint Hometown News Service) — Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Alsha K. Huggins graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Huggins is the daughter of Rubylette and George Huggins of Christiansted.
She is a 2003 graduate of St. Croix Central High School, Kingshill. She earned a bachelor’s degree in 2008 from Benedict College, Columbia, S.C.
