Traffic Enforcement officers in the U.S. Virgin Islands conducted a Labor Day weekend traffic crackdown, resulting in seven arrests on St. Thomas of people allegedly driving under the influence.

Several of these arrests included persons who are reported to have collided with other vehicles while intoxicated.

Tuesday

Police arrested 33-year-old Jeffery Fetterhoff about 2:10 a.m. Officers said Fetterhoff was involved in an auto collision on Frenchman’s Bay Road, left the scene of the accident and resisted arrest. Officers said Fetterhoff was under the influence of alcohol.

Monday

Elizabeth Kadison, 53, was arrested about 10:15 p.m. Officers said Kadison was observed driving recklessly on Julian Jackson Drive. She failed the field sobriety test and Breathalyzer test, according to police.

Sunday

Moveri Esteves-Howard, 42, was arrested minutes before 8 p.m. and charged with driving under the influence. Officers said Esteves-Howard was on Blyden Road when she was involved in an auto collision and left the scene. Officers administered the field sobriety test and the Breathalyzer test, and reported that she failed.

Steven Haluszka, 60, of St. John was arrested about 8:30 p.m. after he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Police said Haluszka was driving in the area of Calabash Boom when he was involved in an auto collision and determined to be intoxicated.

Alicia Castaneda, Lyron Rouse and Wellington Liston Bailey were also each arrested in separate instances and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol during the Labor Day holidays.
