Virtue of the Week: Excellence

0

Excellence is doing your best, giving careful attention to every task and every relationship. Excellence is a desire for perfection. The perfection of a seed comes in the fruit. When you practice excellence, you bring your gifts to fruition. Excellence is the key to success.

You are practicing excellence when you:

– Give your best to whatever you do,

– Give your best to relationships,

– Set noble and realistic goals,

– Remember to plan and practice,

– Don’t try to do everything, and

– Develop your special gifts.

Affirmation:

I give my best to the work I do. I give my best to others. I dare to set noble goals. I choose excellence in all things.

The Family Connection was established in 2005 by the Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands as an early-childhood initiative. The mission of TFC is to strengthen the community child care and early education infrastructure in the USVI by building awareness of the importance of early learning and development for success and working with community agencies to promote quality care and education. One of its efforts is the Virtues Project, an international initiative focused on building peaceful and caring communities.

The Source supports the Virtues Project. We will publish one of the virtues developed by the project each week.
