An Open Letter to Virgin Islanders and Film Lovers Everywhere

Dear Source:
Dear family, friends and lovers of movies: Ed LaBorde Jr. is on St. Croix to complete the filming of “Timeless” for the American Black Film Festival to be held in New York June 11-14, 2015
In order to be eligible, “Timeless” must be submitted by March 10. In a very real way, this is crunch time. Making it into the Festival would be a huge boost for the film, the Virgin Islands, and the wider Caribbean. We’re asking for your help to raise the $5,000.00 needed to finish the film.
We started shooting “Timeless,” written and directed by Edward LaBorde Jr., in September 2012 with no budget. That’s right! We had all the equipment we needed but no money to make the movie.
Fortunately, all actors and technicians agreed to work with a deferred payment contract. This, along with the overwhelming support of the community, both businesses and individuals, brought us to within a hair’s breadth of doing what seemed impossible at the start. As the song says, “too late to turn back now.”
All of the scenes set on St. Thomas have been shot and are being edited. I must say they are exceptional. Ed needs now to shoot the St. Croix scenes that account for approximately 15 percent of the movie. Please help him to do so by making a donation of $5.00 or more.
Checks can be made payable to: Cutting Edge Entertainment Inc. and mailed to: P.O. Box 303328, St. Thomas, VI 00803
Thanks for all the support you have given us so far and for continuing to help us get this Caribbean film across the finish line.
Kindest regards,
David Edgecombe, executive producer
