In a repeat of last week’s snow-related flight cancellations, more snow in the northeast United States again caused airlines on Monday to cancel flights to St. Thomas’ Cyril E. King Airport.

The V.I. Port Authority said in a press release that United Airlines’ flight 1519 from Newark Liberty International Airport to St. Thomas didn’t arrive Monday. Since the plane didn’t arrive, there was no plane available for departing flight 1482.

JetBlue’s two flights, 800 and 862, from St. Thomas to Boston were canceled.

American Airlines does not have a Monday direct flight to New York’s JFK International Airport.

Delta flight 400 from St. Thomas to JFK is currently on schedule.

Flights into St. Croix are not affected by this storm.

V.I. Port Authority Director Carlton Dowe advised passengers to contact their airlines directly for accurate updates and scheduling.

According to the Weather Channel’s website, what forecasters are calling Winter Storm Linus brought heavy snow across much of the northeast Monday. The storm also dropped freezing rain from areas near New York City into parts of southern New England.
