Farming Alive in the V.I.

Oct. 9, 2004 – Very good! It’s about time to be more self sufficient when it comes to your own people instead of depending on people who don’t even have a clue of island life. The old slavery mentality about farming and working for the white man has to end for your own livelihood. I was reared on farm in Indiana, and have relatives that live on St. Thomas. When I came down to visit in 1989 I noticed that the vegetables were beyond edibility. I asked my cousin what up with the vegetables, his reply was that we are just a territory and tourism takes precedence, my reply was; whaa! Keep the good work!
