Sept. 28, 2004 — A funeral service is set for Saturday for Donald Cecil Parsons, who died Sept. 22 at the Roy L. Schneider Hospital. He was 67.
A viewing will be held from 9 to 10 a.m., also on Saturday, with the funeral directly following at Christchurch Methodist.
Parsons, better known as "Betty Lou" or "Don" is survived by his sons, Donald and Joseph Parsons, a brother Dennis Parsons, five sisters: Dorothy Mercer, Doreen Smith, Daisy Wilkes, Delita Todman and Doris Smith. Parsons is also survived by an aunt, Evangeline Jennings, an uncle Alexander Todman, brothers-in-law Carlo Woods, Dalton Mercer, Roosevelt Smith, Dinsdale Wilkes and Errol Smith and sister-in-law Ivy Parsons. Parsons also left behind many special friends and adopted family members both in the V.I., Tortola, New York and Atlanta. A few of them are: Richard Thomas, Sparrow, Gerald Jennings (Stop It), Peter Woods, Louis Turnbull, Debra Jackson, Julian Jr, John Julius, Joy Jackson, Louisa Pickering, Matthew James and Jeleen Hendricks.
