BICYCLISTS RACE IN THE HEAT

April 27, 2004 – The South Shore Road Race was held on April 25.
The day was hot and windy, and poor road conditions prevented the Elite group from doing the St. Croix course as scheduled. The race started at Junie's Bar and finished at the entrance to Ha'Penny on the South Shore.
The finishers and their times, according to a press release, in the three categories were:
Elite – 35 miles
Jamie Keys – 1:55:48
John Riggs – 1:55:48
Khalil Jacobs-El – 2:02:28
Expert – 23 miles
Danney Fontenelle – 1:13:25
Dick Isherwood – 1:15:37
Glenn Massiah – 1:16:22
Ernst Schuster – 1:16:22
Guy Lowery – 1:17:34
Cumber Greaux – 1:17:56
Mayde Lowery – 1:29:14
Will Franks – 1:29:23
Scott Fricks – 1:32:44
Sport – 16 miles
Kathy LaGrange – 49:08
Troy Brown – 53:34
James Meyers – 56:08
Marius Louis – 57:17
Paul Gillette – 59:48
