Nov. 21, 2003 — Rawlins "Yahudah" Pickering, 47, of St. Thomas, died Nov. 13 at Roy L. Schneider Hospital.
Viewing will be from 9 to 10 a.m. and service will be at 10 a.m. on Nov. 25, both at the Davis Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Western Cemetery No. 3.
He is survived by his mother, Eunice Frett; father, Hugo Pickering; wife, Shirleen Pickering; step-mother, Nellie Pickering; daughters, Shanetta, Kabejah, Ninjah and Ketturah Pickering; sons, Yahuda, Yakimo and Yakeem Pickering; brothers, Elroy Schulterbrandt, Julien Scatliffe, Danley Cornelius, and Leal, Cedric, Clent and Carl Pickering; sisters, Shirley Scatliffe, Carolyn Pickering, Sonia Petersen, and Susie and Ramona Gordon; aunts, Iva, Ealis, Renelda "Rena", Alden Todman, Carol, Addelilta Penn, Christalia Frett and Elsa Gordon; special uncle, Leopold Chalwell, special uncles Steadman Frett, Louis Frett, Jens Pickering and Winfield Pickering; close cousin, Ianthis Pickering; close friend, Popel Feliciano; and many other relatives and friends.
"Yahudah" was a loving, kind person always willing to help out others in time of need, a statement from the family said. He worked years ago at Knud Hansen Hospital. He lived his lifetime on St. Thomas as he saw fit. He loved family members well.
