Oct. 8, 2003 — The Environmental Association of St. Thomas-St. John will sponsor a hike through the Magens Bay Trail beginning at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 12.
Hikers will learn about the area's flora, fauna and history from an experienced "eco-guide." The trail is easy to moderate, and covers less than two miles from the Magens Bay Road through the arboretum and down to the beach.
Hikers will meet at Shed 2 at Magens Bay, and EAST will provide transportation to the trail head. The hike is expected to last about two hours and hikers are urged to wear sturdy shoes and to bring water.
The cost is $5 for EAST members and $8 for non-members. For information call 774-1837.
