Feb. 13, 2003 – The Joseph E. Gomez Elementary School is celebrating its "Come Read With Me Challenge" through Feb. 21. Principal Freida Farrow said, "Parents and other members of the community are invited to visit and share a book with a class and talk about the importance and impact that learning to read has made on their lives."
A "Family Read-In" will be held on Feb. 20 at 5 p.m., followed by the monthly PTSA meeting at 6. Parents are reminded to bring monthly dues of $5 per family to the meeting. A spaghetti dinner will be held after the meeting.
