April 17, 2001 – The League of Women Voters of the Virgin Islands will hold its annual meeting starting at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 21 at the Marine Science Building on the St. Thomas Campus of the University of the Virgin Islands.
Items on the agenda include the election of officers for the 2001-2003
period and discussion of program items.
The guest speaker will be Delegate Donna M. Christian-Christensen who will be addressing the League on the various federal activities affecting the Virgin Islands. These include the proposed Income Tax reduction plan, raising the cap on the Rum Tax, the Gasoline Excise Tax, the Earned Income Credit and the newly created National Monuments.
