If you can't reach the Senate Building by phone, there's a reason for it. The phones have been out of service since Wednesday.
The 24th Legislature said in a release Wednesday night that the Virgin Islands Telephone Co. and the Senate's technicians are working expeditiously to correct the problem.
The release gave no information on when the 774-0880 number will be back in service, but did offer an apology for the inconvenience to the public.
Thursday morning the main switchboard was still out of service, though callers can be switched to an attendant. Individual senators may be reached at their numbers listed in the phone book.
