The title, "Dude, Where's my Car?" says it all. Or at least it says a great deal toward describing this movie, dubbed by its promotion staff, a "light, comic teenage adventure." Yeah, right.
Two pot smoking teenagers, man, wake up one morning after the night before wondering, like, what happened. As if this predicament isn't enough of a plot to hold any audience, they think they may have encountered aliens in bubblewrap jumpsuits. Perhaps they just spent the night in Kmart's toy department popping bubble gum.
Perhaps the best thing about the movie is the opportunity it provided one wag to call it "Hearts of Dorkness." It stars Ashton Kutcher and Seann William Scott. Ashton comes from TV, and Kutcher appeared in "American Pie."
It is directed by Danny Leiner, and rated PG-13 for language, some sex and drug-related humor.
It starts Thursday at Sunny Isle Theaters.
