The Education Department has laid out the marking periods for two schools that were late beginning their classes in the fall. Charlotte Amalie High School and Peace Corps Elementary school experienced several delays due to construction on those campuses.
As a result, the following revisions have been announced by Education: At Charlotte Amalie the first marking period ended Dec. 13. The second marking period began Dec. 14 and is scheduled to end Feb. 15. The third marking period will begin Feb. 19 and end April 11. And the fourth marking period will begin April 17 and end June 22. Graduation will take place on June 17.
At Peace Corps the first marking period will end Dec. 19 and the second will begin Jan. 8. Report cards will be distributed at an open house at the school on Jan. 9 no time was provided in the release from Education.
The second marking period will end Feb. 28, with report cards being distributed March 9 at an open house.
The third marking period will start March 12 and end May 4, with report card distribution slated for a May 11th open house. Again, no time was provided. Watch the Source schools or calendar section for updates on the open houses and other school activities.
The last marking period for the school year will begin May 9 and end June 26.
Report cards will go home with students on the last day of school, June 29.
Education is planning remedial and enrichment programs to be held throughout the summer, but has not yet announced the details.
