Although tourists have been using the Valdemar Hill Sr. Drive Overlook regularly for weeks–as recently as Friday–and there is nothing to keep vehicles off it, Acting Public Works Commissioner Wayne Callwood said in a statement Friday that "before tourists are allowed to enjoy the overlook the area needs to be finished and inspected."
Callwood said Public Works is putting the "finishing touches" on the overlook, including supplying power to run the restroom. He said the public will be notified when the department decides the overlook is completed.
