Much-awaited testimony before the Senate Finance Committee on the administration's five-year financial recovery plan has been postponed for the second time, Sen. Lorraine Berry announced Wednesday.
In a letter to Berry as Finance Committee chair, Vinod Shrivastava, president of Core International, an off-island consultant to the governor, said he needed more time to prepare his presentation. It had been on the agenda for a committee meeting scheduled for Thursday, April 27, after having been postponed at Government House request from the original date of April 18.
Also expected to testify before the committee on the plan are Recovery Plan Task Force chair John deJongh Jr.; Core International vice president Lois Varrick; Rudolph Krigger Sr., assistant to the governor for fiscal policy and economic affairs; and Paulette Rabsatt, deputy assistant to the governor for fiscal policy and economic affairs.
James Francis, Berry's chief of staff, said the hearing has now been rescheduled for May 8.
