Three candidates have been nominated for each of the two employee seats on the Group Health Insurance Board of the Government Employees Service Commission. Personnel Division director Joanne U. Barry announced their names Thursday and said elections will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 12 and from 8 a.m. to noon April 13 within the government departments and agencies.
The seven-member board comprises five persons appointed by the governor and approved by the Legislature, one government employee from the St. Thomas-St. John district, and one employee from St. Croix. The Personnel director determines how the two employees are chosen.
The St. Thomas-St. John nominees are: Daryl A. George, Virgin Island Fire Services; Marlene Adams, Roy L. Schneider Hospital; and John H. Quetel, Housing Finance Authority.
The St. Croix nominees are: Ross White, Education Department; John Abramson Jr., Election System; and Naomi Joseph, Police Department. Joseph is seeking a second term.
