Nine firefighters spent 30 minutes putting out a blaze in Frydendahl Estate on Thursday morning.
The fire, which started in the closet of a studio apartment, was called in at 8:21 a.m.
The apartment was occupied by Anna Clarke.
The release from Government House said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
