CATHY SMITH NAMED WAPA GENERAL COUNSEL

Attorney Cathy M. Smith has been named general counsel for the Water And Power Authority. It's a return to the utility for Smith, who served as WAPA deputy general counsel before going into private practice as an associate with the law firm of Dudley Clark and Chan.
A graduate of the Tulane University School of Law, Smith is a member of the Virgin Islands and Louisiana Bar Associations. She practiced in New Orleans before relocating to the Virgin Islands, where she served as an assistant attorney general with the Justice Department before joining WAPA.
Her community involvements include having served on the boards of the V.I. Boy Scouts Council and the V.I. Coalition of Citizens with Disabilities / Dial-A-Ride.
