After another mechanical malfunction last Friday, the LBJ wastewater pumping station is back on line.
According to Harold Thompson, Department of Public Works commissioner, the pumping station was shut down Friday because of an alternator failure on an emergency pump. A new alternator that was donated by Western Auto enabled the department to get the pump working.
"The situation may have impacted the quality of the water," said Thompson. "Therefore it is recommended that people avoid being in the water at LBJ to La Grande Princess area."
