Irvine Hodge Jr., who was convicted of armed robbery and two other counts in a 1995 holdup and theft of $231,000 at the Emerald Lady jewelry store, was sentenced Wednesday to 13 years for the robbery.
Chief District Court Judge Thomas K. Moore Hodge also gave Hodge nine years for interference with commerce by robbery and five years for possession of a firearm, with the latter sentence to be served after the 13-year sentence.
Moore ordered Hodge to pay $20,000 restitution to his victims by working with the Inmate Financial Responsibility program, according to the Daily News.
Hodge has been charged with two crimes at the Emerald Lady, the 1995 armed robbery and the May 1998 robbery that ended with the killing of owner Larry Davis and the wounding of a security guard.
Hodge was convicted of the 1995 crime five months ago but wasn't sentenced until Wednesday. Trial is pending for Hodge and three other men charged in the Davis killing and robbery.
