March 3, 2007 – In observance of USVI-Denmark Friendship Month, the 90th Anniversary Transfer Day Committee, in cooperation with the Virgin Islands Department of Education, present Lunch in the Park: The Concert Series. The concerts will feature the musical talents of public school students and will take place on Wednesdays in March at Emancipation Garden, according to a press release from the Education Department.
The hour-long concerts will celebrate this year’s theme, “Emeralds of the Sea Celebrate the Diamond 90th Anniversary: Recalling Our Past, Forging Our Future.”
The schedule is as follows:
· Wednesday, March 7 – Bertha C. Boschulte Middle School
· Wednesday, March 14 – Charlotte Amalie High School
· Wednesday, March 21 – Gladys A. Abraham, Leonard Dober and
Ulla Muller Elementary Schools
· Wednesday, March 28 – Ivanna Eudora Kean High School
