Oct. 24, 2006 – The St. John Community Foundation gubernatorial debate scheduled for Wednesday has been canceled. Community Foundation Director Carole DeSenne said Tuesday that some of the candidates for governor and lieutenant governor were not available.
According to DeSenne, Thursday's debate for senatorial and senator-at-large
candidates will be held as planned.
"All the candidates have confirmed," she said.
The candidates will have an opportunity to make an opening statement and will then
answer between seven and 10 questions, depending on time. They will also have an opportunity to make a closing statement.
The event begins at 7 p.m. at the Westin Resort and Villas.
