July 14, 2006 – Join the John's Folly Learning Institute July 22 for an old-fashioned pig roast and fish fry.
From 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Institute, located on Route 107 in John's Folly, the fundraiser will offer vegetarian plates for $8, chicken for $10, fish or pig at $12, the same price as a combination plate with any two meats.
Christian said the pig will be roasted on site and the fish fried as customers watch.
"We're trying to make it as old fashioned as possible," he said.
The money will help pay expenses for a trip to Washington, D.C., for 10 of the Institute's youths. The trip is planned for Aug. 3 to 10.
