June 23, 2006 – Alvin McBean East and Elrod Hendricks West Little Leagues have joined to host the 2006 Latin American/Caribbean Regional Junior League Tournament. All games will be played from July 15 through July 23, at the Lionel Roberts Stadium. There will be teams from Antigua, Aruba, Bahamas, Bonaire, British Virgin Islands, Colombia, Curaҫao, Dominican Republic, Mexico Panama, Puerto Rico, St. Maarten, Venezuela, the V.I. Champions from St. Croix and the host team, St. Thomas. Everyone is invited to join the action and cheer for their favorite team.
The tournament is subsidized by the government of the Virgin Islands along with major contributions from Holiday Inn Windward Passage, Innovative Telephone and Power Net, West Indies Corporation, Coca Cola and Knight Quality Stations.
