June 27, 2007 – The Family Resource Center is holding registration for The Family and Youth Crises Intervention Program. The free program funded by the Department of Human Services will begin on Sept. 4, and space is limited.
It will assist youth who are exhibiting negative behaviors and may be having trouble in school, socially or at home. The program offers a Rites of Passage component for boys ages 9 to 12 years on Saturdays, starting Sept. 8, and counseling on Tuesdays for adolescent boys and girls who are having behavioral problems, starting Sept. 4. There will also be counseling for families experiencing difficult times with their children.
Parenting classes are available on Tuesdays, beginning Sept. 4, for parents who desire to develop an improved relationship with their children. Registration is currently taking place for all programs.
