June 18, 2008 – Sewage is flowing through a gut near the JFK Housing Community and the community is cautioned to avoid the area. A gravity line in the middle of the street near the Pueblo Shopping Center in Estate Golden Rock failed causing the sewage to enter a storm drain and then flow into the gut, according to a statement from Planning and Natural Resources.
The V.I. Waste Management Authority is working to fix the probem according to PNR.
Children and adults with compromised immune systems are the most vulnerable and should stay away from the area.
