May 30, 2008 Department of Planning and Natural Resources Coastal Zone Management Director Janice Hodge will speak at the next Coral Bay Community Council (CBCC) forum at 6:30 p.m., on Monday, June 9, at the John's Folly Learning Institute in Coral Bay, St. John.
She will speak on DPNR-CZM regulation and use of submerged lands in the Virgin Islands, the Major CZM water permitting process and the environmental concerns that need to be addressed in permit applications for marinas and docks. Her intent is to give citizens an overall understanding of the complete application process, environmental concerns and CZM mandates for submerged lands use at a practical level. There will be time for questions from the audience, and the meeting will last approximately one hour.
Everyone is invited to attend. For questions, call the CBCC office at 776-2099 or e-mail [email protected].
