April 30, 2008 – The Committee for the Betterment of Carenage (CBC Inc.) will host its 13th annual pre-Mother's Day fishing tournament on Sunday, May 4. The tournament is open to female anglers, who will take to the waters around St. Thomas at 6 a.m. in hopes of reeling in the big one. During the weigh-in at the Gustave Quetel Fishing Center in Frenchtown on Sunday, there will be food and drinks on sale and musical entertainment.
Prizes will be awarded on June 15 during the Father's Weekend Celebration in Frenchtown to the female angler who snags the heaviest fish, the most fish by quantity and weight, and the most unusual fish. Best captain and youngest angler awards will also be presented.
