Jan. 22, 2008 — Lydia Simmonds-Lettsome, principal of the Emanuel Benjamin Oliver Elementary School, advises parents, guardians and the general public that students will be dismissed sit 1 p.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 22 due to electrical problems at the school.
The school lost power earlier today as a major fuse was blown, "A department maintenance crew was dispatched and is working with the Water and Power Authority to get the problem resolved today," Lettsome said. "Classes are expected to resume as normal tomorrow.."
Lettsome further indicated that students were provided with lunch and that bus transportation has been arranged for those students who use the service.
