Dec. 8, 2007 – The annual Foreign Language High School Quiz Bowl is scheduled to take place from 1-3 p.m., on Tuesday, Dec. 18, at the Ivanna Eudora Kean High School, in the school cafeteria, according to a press release from Insular Superintendent for the St. Thomas-St. John District Lisa Hassel-Forde.
"We at the District are pleased to present the second annual Foreign Language Quiz Bowl for the senior high schools. The event, which is open to the public, serves to further motivate non-native learners of Spanish to practice their oral second language skills and to showcase their language acquisition gains," said Myrna van Beverhoudt, district foreign language coordinator.
