Pistarckle Theater Will Present 'Mother Hicks'

0

Pistarckle Theater presents "Mother Hicks" by Suzan Zeder. This powerful story of three outsiders, richly realized with poetry and sign language, chronicles the journey of a small town seeking a scapegoat during troubled times. Instead, they find themselves, each other, and the ability to see the "sharp sting of honey and taste the sunrise." Directed by Bethany Burgess-Smith, it is a joint production of the Main Stage and the Education Department, with New York actress Nancy Nagrant.
Opening night, Feb. 28, is pay-as-you-can. Tickets are $23 for adults, $20 in advance; $10 for students; and group sales of eight or more are $7 for kids and $14 for adults.
Performances will be held at 7 p.m., Feb. 28-29, March 1, March 6-8, and March 14-15, at the Pistarckle Theater in Tillett Gardens. Matinees will be held at 2 p.m., on March 8 and 15.
