VING Will Celebrate Organizational Day
Oct. 26, 2007 – The Virgin islands National Guard Organizational Day will take place from 8 a.m., to 4 p.m., on Friday, Oct. 26, at Cramer's Park, St. Croix. The day is an opportunity to unwind, relax, network and have fun with all personnel under the Office of the Adjutant General, which includes VING, the Virgin Island Territorial Emergency Management Agency (VITEMA), OHS, volunteers and retirees. Camaraderie and togetherness are the focus of the day, as everyone celebrates with the comrades who recently returned from their deployment in Iraq.
Activities will include the annual bike ride from the Armory to Cramer's Park. The riders will gather at 5 a.m., Oct. 26, and begin riding at 5:30 a.m. It is held in honor of LTC David Canegata III, as well as a welcome back from deployment of fellow biker Major Brian O'Reilly.
Another very popular fitness activity is the Walk-Run, which will start at 5:30 a.m., from Cheeseburgers in Paradise to Cramer's Park.
There will be lots of food and music by one of VING's resident deejays.
