The annual pre-Mother's Day Fishing Tournament, hosted by the Committee for the Betterment of Carenage, will begin at 6 a.m., on Sunday, May 6, in Frenchtown and culminate at noon, at the bayside near Gustave Quetel Fishing Center.
The prizes will be awarded to the female angler who snags the heaviest fish, the most fish by quantity and weight, and the most unusual fish, as well as best captain and youngest angler.
Registration will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Saturday, May 5, at the Aubain Ball Park concession stand.
