Nov. 30, 2008 – Melwood Antonio Thomas, also known as "Ahkiki" or "Poleh," of Grove Place died on Nov. 23, at his residence. He was 60 years old.
He is survived by his daughter, Anique Thomas; sisters: Alecia Thomas-Turner-Bey, and Magnolia and Lynnette Thomas; brother, Jerome Dickerson Sr.; nieces and nephews: Sharon, Tarsha, Jerome and Kevin Dickerson, Jean A. Nesbitt-Matthew, Cathleen Browne, Carol and Lucille James, Charles Byron, Michael Nesbitt, Steve Dye, Shawn Phillip, Shavel Karel M.D., Stacey and Ronald LaFond, and Renee, Renise, Rodney and Randall Johnson. He is also survived by special friends: Dwayne Fergus and family, Eugene Thomas, Daoudi Samuel, Antonio, Tony, Watts, Glen, Lunsford, Hidalgo Williams, Cleopha Hall and family, Adelbert Bryan, Mae Agnes Trant, Charles Brow, George Phillip and Benji; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., on Thursday, Dec. 4, at Friedensfeld Moravian Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
