Known as the beauty of imperfection, Wabi Sabi is a beauty of things imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete. It is a beauty of things modest and humble. It is a beauty of things unconventional. Wabi Sabi will inspire the spirit, heart and mind.
"If you look at Lynn's wabi sabi-inspired raku ceramics, they truly reflect her personality. Her work is not vain; it earnestly captures a humble and spiritual element. Her ceramic vessels are not flashy which lends elegance and uniqueness to the whole. At times, her work lacks grace, movement and distinction of form. However, it is the unusual forms, subtle use of color and rustic texture that give her work depth and emotion.
In a world that strives for perfection and lives in chaos, Lynn's work offers a refreshing calm. Her raku ceramics leave behind the pursuit of perfection while bringing awareness to the simple, unaffected splendor of things as they are."
