Feb. 23, 2009 — Gov. John deJongh Jr. has nominated Pablo O'Neill to fill a vacancy for a four-year term on the V.I. Public Finance Authority (PFA) board of directors.
O'Neill will contribute years of professional experience as a certified public accountant and a managing member of O'Neill and Associates, deJongh said, according to a Government House news release.
"O'Neill has spent much of his professional life in the accounting field, providing services that include tax preparation, financial statements analysis and preparation, general accounting, business consulting and litigation support," the governor said.
The nominee holds a master's degree in business administration from Baruch College at the University of New York and a bachelor of arts degree in accounting from the University of Puerto Rico. He is presently a member of the V.I. Banking Board and chairman of the V.I. Board of Public Accountancy.
Earlier this month, deJongh nominated Keith O'Neale Jr. to fill another open seat on the PFA board.
