Feb. 19, 2009 – The Virgin Islands Humanities Council has announced its grant deadline for the month of March to be 5 p.m., Monday, March 2. Non-profit organizations, institutions and groups are invited to apply for funding for projects that examine the cultural heritage of the Virgin Islands. The council will consider disciplines such as history, philosophy, languages, literature, cultural anthropology, folk life studies, comparative religion, ethics, archaeology, jurisprudence, and the history and criticism of the arts. Teacher-incentive grants up to $750 and mini-grants up to $3,500 are available.
