March 31, 2009 – Leona Maria Krause of Peter's Rest died on March 25, at her residence. She was 90 years old.
She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Lenhardt-Brathwaite; sons: Johannes Lenhardt Jr. and Elroy Roberts Sr.; grandchildren: David S. Brathwaite Jr., Levonne Brathwaite Hodge, Elroy Robert Jr., Leroy Roberts, Kealon Roberts, Dujon Roberts, Neila Edwards and Shima Moolenaar; 17 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Jennie Roberts; and son-in-law, David S. Brathwaite Sr. She is also survived by sisters: Winifred Benjamin and Hilarine James; brother, Ivan Krause; special niece, Agnes Isaac; aunts: Keturah Francis and Rebecca James; sister-in-law, Alice J. Pelton-Krause; special friends: Eureka and Ed Phillips, Carmen Mills, Roslyn Edwards, Leon Lenhardt, Kay O'Reilly, Eleanor Sims, Peterson Brathwaite; Sonya and Cecil Thomas, Josephine Hector, Ura Gosha, as well as Theresa Gaskin, Enid K. Hodge Vincenta, LeVonne, Rita Samuel, Eugenie Lenhardt and Ferryneisa Benjamin and their families; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, April 6, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
