March 5, 2009 – March 21 is World Down Syndrome Day and MJM Discovery Cove will hold a celebration of diversity and inclusion by having an Island Elegant Evening at 6 p.m., Saturday, March 21, at the historic Fort Frederik. The event will feature entertainment by the Jacob Seed Reggae Band and a presentation by Mada Nile. A special guest will be honored.
Tickets are $20 and dinner and drinks on sale. All proceeds will go toward purchasing computer software for individuals with Down Syndrome.
The evening is sponsored by Rush Entertainment, Harbor Lites, Avocado Pitt, Thomas Bakery and Isle 95.
