June 15, 2009 — The USVI Hotel & Tourism Association hosts the 16th annual Destination Symposium conference June 15-19, welcoming to the islands travel trade media, tour operators, hoteliers, airlines, local tourism professionals and other key partners to discuss travel and tourism in the Virgin Islands.
The objective of the symposium is to discuss marketing initiatives and product development. The conference begins on St. Thomas at the Frenchman's Reef Marriott and then heads to St. Croix for the final two days.
One-day registration is available for Tuesday for a fee of $95, which includes breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is available starting at 7:30 am, followed by a marketing and public relations presentation by the Tourism Department. HTA will then give a presentation regarding marketing initiatives.
The USVI Destination Symposium has consistently been voted one of the best of its kind in the Caribbean.
