June 24, 2009 – Almin Augusta Hughes of D. Hamilton Jackson died on June 6.
She is survived by her husband, William Hughes; daughters: Sonia Donaldson and Carina Hughes; sons: Alton and Shawn Hughes; grandchildren: Zena Philip, Ke’Aundre, Ke’Vounte and Ke’Vaughn Christopher, Da’Shawn and Jazmin Xavier Hughes; stepdaughter, Pamela Hughes; adopted daughters: Avril Young and Tamisha Gonzalez; and brother, Dalmar Graham. She is also survived by best friends: Patricia Gerard, Blanche Rawlins, Lydia Japaul, Mabel Philip and T. Spencer; special friends: Athyll Christopher, Alphonso Francis, Iva Brandy, Christine Walters, Clanda A. Roberts, Anna Hall, Paulina Ford, Shanika Cornelius, Ms. Jacobs, and the McKenize family; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m., on Thursday, June 25, at the Friedensthal Moravian Church. Interment will follow at the Kingshill Cemetery.
