A Back-to-School Conference has been scheduled for 3-5 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 30, at the St. Croix Educational Complex. All education stakeholders to include parents and guardians, grandparents, teachers, community organizations, government leaders and the general public are invited and encouraged to attend this important meeting, according to a press release from Insular Superintendent of Schools for the St. Croix District Gary Molloy.
The keynote speaker will be Judge Greg Mathis of TV’s Judge Mathis.
“The district is honored to present Judge Greg Mathis and his dynamic and motivational speaking,” Molloy said. “During the two-hour engagement, he will explain the role of parental involvement in education, and the impact education has in the life of children and the community based on his personal experience and vast knowledge.”
The superintendent added that the public will also have the opportunity to meet education officials, administrators from all district public schools, and their PTA officers.
