Francisco Rivera Jr., also known as “Junie,” died on Sept. 2, 2009. He was 60 years old.
He is survived by his daughters: Betty, Yolanda and Sandra Rivera; grandchildren: Justin Irving, Johnathan Mejias, Christiana and Marc Hernandez, Bianca Rivera, Jeremy and Anthony Stanzione; sisters: Ada Rivera-Lopez, Carmen Rivera and Ilma Iris Rivera; brothers-in-law: Reynaldo Lopez and Miguel Figueroa; nieces: Wanda Gonzalez-Adames, Lysette Rivera-Francis, Priscilla Rivera and Jeannette Rivera-George; nephews: Edgar Gonzalez and Ricardo Gonzalez; great nieces: Melanie Adames, Reynisha, Deynisha and Naisha Ilarraza, Kelsey Parrilla, Aaliyah Francis, Tatiana, Lisa, Deynisha and Diana Gonzalez; and great nephews: Daniel and Jeremy Adams, Akido Parrilla, Omari George, Terrance Melendez, Adio Francis, Nathaniel and Jahkeem Dowdye, Angel Rodriguez, Johsua, Edgar Jr., Moises Gonzalez and Samuel Alvarez. He is also survived by cousins: Carlos and Luis Cecilio, Rosa Ayala, Nancy and Papo Gonzalez, Maxi Cepeda and Carlos Rosario; nephews-in-law: Ashley George, Terrance Francis and Geraldo Adams; special friends: Salvador Valdemora, Dingo, Carmelo and family, Edwin Rosario, Josephina, Rafel Encarnacion, Marcos Heredra and Rafael Altagracia Morales; as well as many friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Zion Pentecostal Church in New Castle Coakley (next to Good Year). Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
