The Virgin Islands Department of Education in collaboration with Juan Sepulveda, executive director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanic Americans, U.S. Department of Education, invite the public to participate in a White House Initiative Community Conversation from 10 a.m. to noon, on Saturday, Sept. 26, in the St. Croix Educational Complex Cafeteria, according to a press release from Education Commissioner La Verne Terry.

During the interactive workshop session participants will be afforded an opportunity to voice their ideas in two areas: How pre-K through 20 education can and should be improved, and what the White House Initiative should be doing to spearhead these efforts.
