Artvi Advocates together with Americans for the Arts will host Creative Conversation: Stretch Your Mind! at 6 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. 29, at Everyday Clay Studio in Tillett Gardens. Creative Conversations bring together emerging, local arts leaders to discuss challenges specific to the arts in their communities. They are part of National Arts and Humanities Month programs coordinated by Americans for the Arts. “The event is free and open to the public. . . To attend, you can register online at www.artsusa.org or just join us as we explore new and creative ways to successfully educate our community, V.I. legislators and policy makers on the need for continued and expanded support of the arts and culture in the U.S. Virgin Islands,” said Priscilla L. Hintz, Artvi Advocates project coordinator.
Artvi Advocates Hosts Creative Conversation, Discussing Arts in the Community
Artvi Advocates believes that resources directed at organizations and activities that enhance and contribute to the educational, artistic, and cultural welfare of the citizens of the Virgin Islands constitute a real social and economic investment in the future of the territory. The event is co-sponsored by Everyday Clay Studio. The gallery will be featuring the exhibit “Whimsical Wonderland: Pottery and Installations” by Alison Davis and Kimberly Young. Artists, arts educators, administrators and art enthusiasts are encouraged to attend. Wine and cheese will be served.
